I dunno. I had a fuel line go on a pretty fast road - going probably 50 mph. Suddenly it smelled a LOT like gas. I was lucky - there was a big space on the side of the road, pulled right over, we all jumped out (had several friends in the van, plus my mom), observed fuel pouring steadily out. No sparks. No one smoking. No fire. Whew! Called other friends whom we were en route to meet for dinner, they picked us up. After dinner I called CAA (this was in Newfoundland), got towed to the repair place, my friends brought me home. Easy fix, and no harm done, fortunately. Could have been truly terrible all around.

Of course, in addition to vanagonauts being wonderful and helpful, Newfoundlanders are wonderful and helpful. So everything was easy!

Joy and Matilda, who didn't like being left on the side of the road to leak gasoline while Joy & her friends went out for dinner
