Lots of Vanagons and certainly most 1990 models came with 205/70/14 tires as the OEM size. 195/75/14 ties are TALLER than this other stock size. So they are taller than one of the stock sizes and shorter than the other. That makes them a reasonable alternative to either, IMHO. Assuming you find some with correct weight rating of course.

That Miata program is far from accurate and only useful to see relative changes, not explicit values. Also it assumes the stock tires give a 100% correct speedometer reading and this is usually not the case. Since there were two different sized tires fitted to 1990 2wd vans and only one speedometer used it is apparent on the face of it that the speedo can't be assumed 100% accurate to begin with. A change in tire size may make the speedo MORE accurate while the Miata program assumes it would always be less so.
