I am finally going to add my two cents worth to this. I was a member about 4
or 5 years ago and dropped out due to the inane amount of posts, very
little of which had much Vanagon content. I started rebuilding my '83 Westy
last fall and resubscribed. A lot of new names appeared along with a few of
the old reliables. At one time I taught the 5th grade and the content lately
reminds me of a bunch of 5th graders when the teacher steps out of the
room. Apparently a lot of members feel compelled to respond to about every
post without really anything of value to offer other than their largely
uneducated comments. I have learned to open posts by about only 4 members
and delete the remainder. The Vanagon List Charter has been posted at least
twice since I have rejoined and is quite clear...even a 5th grader could
read and understand it. If I was the Administrator I would not hesitate to
enforce the charter to the letter. People, it is called discipline. For 42
cents and your opinion you can mail a first class letter in the U.S. of A.
