Dear Declared Value
There is a lot of information required to create an insurance policy ... we
are all aware of that ---
but your question is even more complex cause you are asking about stated
value versus replacement value
questions
1. Where are you -- north america which includes mexico and france
2. rural - urban - semi rural -- east west or central
3. urban inner city or urban central
4. what are the accident rates around you
(i live in a W district-- lowest in BC but the specific area i live in is
higher than W cause it has urban areas)
5. does your insurer do classic
6. do you even want classic
7. if you do want classic are you willing to pay to have a certified
appraiser do a written appraisal for you and if so how often will your
insurance company require the update
also as a sub group to this make sure you get an appraiser your insurance
company approves of-- joe the plumber is not likely going to be a good
choice--
8. if there are no appraisers in your area -- will insurance company accept
a self appraisal --
9. what pictures are required to be acceptable to insurance company
10. how many miles do you put on a year --
11. where are these miles ...
12. is your ride show room or a daily driver?
13. if you are american what are the rules for driving across state lines
14. if other country does the insurer cover accidents on the road in another
land --
15. can vehicle only be trailer-ed when in transit or can you drive it
as you can see the list is getting long and longer --
try your auto club
try classic car insurance
In British Columbia,Canada -- ICBC has me insured for 35K$$ replacement --
i hope i never have to discuss that issue any further than the 900$ a year i
give them to make it so
yours

There are two kinds of jobs in the world:
Picking up garbage and telling people things.
Successful people do both, with the same good attitude. (riw)
