Update. I pulled the Temp II sensor. It didn't die but it idled at
about 3000RPM and had poor power so I plugged it back in.
I then unplugged the O2 sensor. It ran like a charm and did not die.
As a matter of fact, it runs better now than it has since I bought it.
The idle has always been around 1100RPM after warmup (higher when
cold) and now it hovers around 800RPM. Nice and smooth!
Looks like I need a new O2 sensor. Oddly the one in there was fairly
new and couldn't have more than a couple thousand miles on it per the
PO. I did note that he had spliced the current sensor into the
existing wires. Obviously not an OEM part.
