My Westie has cheap insurance (compared to my other vehicles) because it
is classified as a motorhome and not used to go to and from work.
I'm installing a fridge and bed in my LT for that exact reason! If I
was to fully insure it for the year with 5M liability, $500 deductable and
20K vehicle value, I am looking at around $900 for the year - here in BC
you have no choice but to get your basic insurance from the gov't - in
Alberta you can choose who you like (much like Germany and the USA and
half of Canada). In BC if the vehicle is over 25 years old and in
stock condition (or with accessories from that era) you can classifty as a
collector car, which again is cheaper.
