Hi Volks,

When I harvested the roof for my Baywindow westfakia back in the fall of 2000, I took two trips. On the first trip for (60 milesfrom home) I took the fibreglass and plywood bits, and a second trip for the metal bits. It wasn't difficult for 2 people to manhandle any of the parts.

But if you weren't going to take it apart first, then you definitely want 4 people minimum. A vanagon roof is about 10% wider than a baywindow, and probably about that much heavier as a result.

FWIW, I have also helped install a sportsmobile top on a bay, and that's a 4-person job as well.

Happy Trails,

It's not Terribly heavy, just terribly awkward. I would > say 4 people minimum to move it, 6 would be preferred.
