The most practical advice you've gotten so far is to "roll back" using a Restore Point created prior to you visiting those porn sites ;-) This is assuming you are using Win XP or Vista. Search System Restore in Windows help. Restore has saved my bits a few times.

BTW if you want to try Ubuntu Linux, They will mail you a free live cd. You can try it out right from the CD. If you like it you can install it right from within windows and either run itlike an application in windows or get a bootup menu asking which OS you want to run.
