I for one would welcome increased list moderation, as lately some folks seem to be using it as a warm up for an appearance on Comedy Central or a stream of consciousness blog. There are lots of other places on the internet to satisfy those proclivities; take them there.

Jim Arnot did a great job, but I think he got worn down by folks ignoring the rules. As I recall, with the former moderator (before Jim), misbehaving listees sometimes simply "disappeared" from the list for a while, sometimes permanently. The key attribute for any moderator is to remain fair but firm, but above all to "be there" to do it.

Knowing of Mr. T's reputation, I think that he would be a great choice. He is obviously a staunch proponent of Vanagons.

Cheers,

Dave Milo
