Along with the usual stuff, I found 2 cresent wrenches handy for tweaking the waves out. I think mine are aftermarket bumpers, so it wasn't hard to work with the metal, though it wanted to "bounce" back. If one wants to paint them, I found a belt sander really useful for roughing them up.
