Mark.......it sounds that by reversing hoses, you are making the dirty side
of the air filter element......
which is always on the outer surface.............the inner surface in your
set up, which might be less than ideal.
Honda Prelude........
the Honda prelude airfilter round can/box...........about second generation
Prelude.........the ones with retractible headlights......
makes a nigh perfect air filter and air intake noise silencer set up.
I have one btw......or very similar, round can style.........
just looked at it...........think it came from a toyota .......it had an
air intake temp sensor screwed into the top, looks like.........would need
to block off that small hole, which would be no big deal.
Can send pics. Would only want 20 bucks for it.
