I'm at a relatives in the SF bay area on my way to Lake Havasu, that 84 Westy bus with the Subaru 2.2 runs like a dream, kept up with traffic all the way down. Only saw 4 other buses, another Westy at the Oregon rest area, same color but an 82, a bay at a house in the Ashland area, and othet\r Westy bay on I-5 and a Vanagon parked at a taco bell in CA.
