oddly enough (?), i did own a goat once ...waaaaaay back when. his name was Stormy. born on a dark and stormy night ... no, really. :)

had a wagon and a harness and he'd pull me around the plantation while the band played "my old kentucky home" in the background (there weren't any good songs about alabama back then). even have home movies of me and The Goat. oh, many were the times i had to get him out of a tree or down from the roof of the barn (kinda flat roof. never did figure out how he got up there).

but he died. killed himself one day, trying to eat from the horse's hayrack ... got his neck stuck in the rack and strangled. :(

and my father, not wanting to waste a good goat, barbecued him. :(

haven't had much use for goats since then.

besides ... that should read: ">then VanagonGerry will GET his goat". :)

unca joel pronounced Udge (as in UJ) ;)
