the frozen throttle cable due to extreme low temps is a good call. oh.....it's Gronski.......I hadn't noticed that till now. hi. the white cable tube...........that runs from just aft of the throttle bell crank in front, to middle of the van. To me, it's a very normal service procedure, to remove the forward half of the thorttle cable........... spary WD-40 down that tube copiously.........and blow the tube out with compressed air. Then add a high quality spray lube while putting the front half of the throttle cable back into the white tube.

the rear section too......with the black housing .........that needs to be lubed too. if everything is well frozen.........that's a problem, WD-40 disperses water beautifully, but I doublt it can do much to ice, on the surface some yes.......and turning thin ice into water and dispersing that .......I think it could do that some.

Most vanagons never get their throttle cable system serviced, cleaned, lubed and adjustment........ but in my world...........that is a normal service prodedure.....perhaps every two years. scott www.turbovans.com
