There are actually quite a bit of wheels which will fit a Vanagon. One of these days, I'll put that page back together in VanagonCafe.com. In fact I had a photo there of Bill Kasper's Syncro with the Merkur Scorpio wheels which he bought from a friend of mine. Bill used 8mm spacers and longer studs. The rest was a bolt on.

I will post at a later date about a new product that I want to test which allows you to install a 5 X 114.3 (typical Japanese bolt pattern) to a Vanagon. The bolts themselves become the adapter but there are limits on the wheel which it can work on depending on the size of the lughole.
