Good point. I have other reasons to want to get rid of the big box. A local parts guy here has a crate full of those TD airboxes.

No need, that is what is in there now. I assume you mean Jetta TD since the TDi did not show up in VW's here until circa 1996.

It's handled, Scott. Thanks. If you look at the rest of the thread, Pat Dooley posted a photo of the exact item I wanted. David Marshall aapparently still has some that he had made or made himself for sale. The Vanagon airbox is taking up too much space in my engine compartment
