Thanks, Ben.  I test-fitted a Nissan Maxima 114.3 alloy wheel to my Westy when the neighbor was installing new struts on his car. It went on grudgingly, binding on the inside edges of the lug holes as you might expect, and definitely would have needed longer lugs/bolts with a different seat in order to be secure.   When I finally wear out the Wynstar Phaser 14" tires on my van I'll be searching for 15" wheels for an upgrade, so I welcome info on 15s.   Stephen

Thanks for the clarification.  I know the bolt pattern is the same and have seen photos of Vanagons with these wheels that I recognize as being from the Scorpio, but it was too good to be true that they would just bolt up since so few wheels do so properly.   Stephen     <SUBJECTLINE CHANGED>     Stephen,   There are actually quite a bit of wheels which will fit a Vanagon. One of these days, I'll put that page back together in VanagonCafe.com. In fact I had a photo there of Bill Kasper's Syncro with the Merkur Scorpio wheels which he bought from a friend of mine. Bill used 8mm spacers and longer studs. The rest was a bolt on.   I will post at a later date about a new product that I want to test which allows you to install a 5 X 114.3 (typical Japanese bolt pattern) to a Vanagon. The bolts themselves become the adapter but there are limits on the wheel which it can work on depending on the size of the lughole.     BenT
