take the example of asking for computer advice........ as long as it's announced right in the subject line 'NVC'.......... I see no problem. And I would really like people to feel that they have somewhere to turn to for help with such a thing as a computer problem...... with 'their buddies' on this list. A community of help thing, you know. Some people don't have anyone to ask for computer advice other than their friends in this community.

As for anyone getting tweaked out that there are say, 60 posts in a day, or 30 posts on whatever subject..... all I can say is ..........oh please..........just take what works for you, and ignore the rest. If you make any attempt to 'take on' everything that hits your inbox.........you ( the generic 'you' .......no one specific ) .......... you're gonna be in a LOT of trouble.......because it is just plain not possible, evidently...........to avoid fluff, vapid postings, spam, etc. etc. in this over-connected and too electronic world. If a body can't deal with that overwhelm easily.........it would behoove them to learn how to, cause there is no sign that we will not just get bombarded more and more and more via the connected world. I never get out of the blue sales call much anymore, but if I do......I am rid of them in 5 seconds. Gotta take care of yourself........and that means learning to easily chop off fluff input, and with no guilt about it. Now Lexus is going to have in-car messages , from Lexus and Toyota, in some of their new Lexus models.........sheesh.........doesn't look like it's ever going to let up or stop........overwhelming input , so we need to, for our own sanity, learn how to delete it, or ignore it, frequently and easily So just ignore the posts you don't like. It's easy ! I automatically ignore or delete hundreds of posts a day without even thinking about it. No where on anyone's computer or email program does it say 'You must absorb and deal with every last thing that hits your inbox.' Anyone thinking that would just go crazy. Take what works for you, ignore the rest.

alphabetize your inbox, ( that's how I do it anyway ) and delete old stuff 40 emails at a time. If someone doesn't know how to select a long list of emails........to delete them all in one shot, instead of individually, just ask. With some 4,000 emails in my inbox I'm due to spend about 10 minutes deleting old ones 40, 60, and 100 at a time, every day, from now on, " indefinitely- forever" even. Scott
