Understood, but I went without the list, or any other online support,
for 14 years, before discovering the list in the late 90s. Until then,
I was armed with only John Muir (my early aircooled days 1977-1986)
and a Bentley (watercooled transformation beginning in 1986.) I did
really well, all alone without dealer, or shop support, with my 84
Wolfsburg and my 86 Syncro, but now that my vans are so much older,
the list is more relevant and significant to my addiction. Thus, amid
the turbulence, there is reason for genuine concern.
I am certainly concerned enough that I would offer to help.....but you
don't want my kind managing anything. I do know when the best time is
to run which red light, all about town. I could help with that and I
know what the fastest mph for my van is because I drove it as fast as
I could until things started to rattle off. My scientific approach is
to keep my speed below that, although I couldn't really see the
speedometer due to the blinding disco ball.......now back to my
regularly scheduled Friday afternoon tequilas (para purificar la
sangre!)
