Where was the last NA (non-DI) VW diesel manufactured? Puebla, Mexico. I understood the original question to be asking about VW supportability south of the US border. I would think that driving a vehicle powered by an engine produced in the country one was traveling in might be a reasonably intelligent choice. But I could be wrong. Luftboxer might be better. Of course, they're manufactured there too. I suspect that finding a replacement 34 PICT 3 could be a challenge though. I know that I would find that an upright 1600 would be a challenge to fit to a Vanagon. This IS the Vanagon list, right? <large smile> Jim |
