The mirrors are to check for holes in the pipes or muffler which would
allow oxygen into the exhaust stream and alter the readings.
Anyone who thinks that AirCare is crap should visit Victoria, BC. The stink
from unburned fuel and burning oil from unregulated emissions is like
something from another century! :-)
