I've had luck in similar situations drilling a small hole along the edge of the frozen bolt. The bit will tend to follow the soft, rusted area between the bolt and the hole. That doesn't screw up the bolt hole enough that a new bolt will flop around. For what I was working on, it did relieve things enough that I could then drift the old bolt out. Or, if you know a shop with a heavy duty press, they might be able to press them out. I assume you've already tried to drift them out with a mini-sledge and lots of heat? |
