Well, I suppose it depends on skill level and experience.
I never said it would be simple, even though my short reply may have implied
that.
A non-hack fabrication job would take me about 1-2 hours.

oh you make it sound like a 30 minute project.
I have headers, for SVX Subaru engines in Vanagons..........made, starting
with J Bends, by a super excellent professional welder...........it's a
fairly involved project if you want it to come out really nicely.......
like a few hundred dollars worth , unless it's just amateur work, or a hack
job.
