About people not just letting you be...... honking and flashing lights and yahooing........ maybe there are a lot of rowdies on Vancouver Island.

One time, driving to Tofino in the summer ........in a TD vanagon btw...... hard to believe, but driving with about 15 other cars in a line, in the country, going about 50 ..........two guys on a motorcycle were weaving in and out of traffic passing people whenever and whenever...........illegally and unsafely ........ ok........so we see that sometimes, but the passenger was drinking beer and tossing the cans as he went, while the driver was speeding and weaving and passing in the wrong places etc. bear cans flying here and there, not even mostly emptied. Man.

Seeing that..I figured being a 'party rowdy' must be pretty popular on Vancouver Island.

here's how they leave a Bush Ccabin in the far north, like to travel by dog sled two days to civilation.........and leave the cabin behind. The cover all the windows with blankets, remove all food........leave the front and back doors standing wide open.

it's relatively impoossilbe to make anything really, really bear proof. Steel and concrete pershaps.......but not car door, nor cabin.

There's yahoo's everywhere of course..........but I have gotten the impression in BC at times.......that it's a little over the top. Scott

you should be getting those diesel parts soon Roger, and that left over Loonie coin. . Post office said 5 days or so, which is very quite for US to Canada mail.........I figure a couple of weeks. I sent a post card from Bella Coola BC to Sebastopol, Ca once...... in the late 80's........took at least 3 weeks for it to get there.
