Afognak Island out from Kodiak Island is a top choice for Elk and Deer
hunters. Lots ad zLots of deer, and a fair number iod elk. However, over
the years the bears - being protected on the island - have learned that
the crack of a rifle is the dinner bell. You shoot, and there is a
really good chance a big bruin is going to show up. It got to be a bit
problem. Dunno the status these days, but back in the day........... it
was the way it was.
