Hey Neil............ that thing looks sweet now ! Hadn't realized ABA's were cross flow. And.........I had it backwards........... I was thinking the intake was on the left/driver's side of the engine ...... but it's not.....that's the 'normal' exhaust side.....and intake is on the right side of the head..... whew............... that sure makes more sense.

yeah, she's lookin' real good in your engine compartment there.

can't figure out this means though .............. "Test is good for 1 year on older (pre '92??) vehicles (unless one were > to cancel their insurance mid stream and renew. You can inadvertently > extend it. Hint hint for B.C. people)" .......

Don't get it .................is your car insurance, like liability somehow tied to your emissions check ??? 'insurance' has absolute NOTHING to do with emissions testing in the US. other than you need proof of insurance to register and drive a car often....... and you need smog checks some places, but the two have nothing to do with each other.

Well that's cool...............my 16 valve exhaust is on the correct side ! I have to drive to go pick up the engine yet ......it was 20 feet up in the air on a shelf when I bought it. so haven't seen it, just looking in Bentley etc.

would love to make some 'art ' and very creative front engine, rear drive........antique like' sports car with that engine .....but don't think I'll have time for that. although.....it would be pretty cool in a Suzuki Samurai.

and in some places regarding smog checks is it really is'..........'oh diesel.........ok, that's all we need to know. You're done.' Sometimes they just need to confirm it's a diesel......and that's it.

right now, that I know of........there's Don Hansen, you, and myself, that are into inline four gassers in vanagons, on the gerry vanagon list. what's your fuel mileage, in US gallons if you can calculate that ? Don has mentioned some very high #'s in the past. Scott turbovans.com
