Yes this is an ICBC site ... and that is directed mostly to canadians
but -- having said that --
the system is likely the same
there is valuable information on the bottom of the page about how the
industry works for their selves

I send this along to aid anyone who is currently in negotiations with an
insurance outfit and of course to give you a place for your bookmarks where
you can turn if you need to ... though it may be a good idea to gird your
self before you need the information
how well i recall the huge discussion that we all had last year after
several vanagons and other westies got whacked ...
I went so far at that time as to explore the formation of some sort of
Mutual Insurance Group for us all ...
It is not as easy as it looks ... there is much to it ... indeed ... and
sadly i lack much of the acumen required to make it so ...

as with all things internet -- this information is only as true as it
appears to be and i have in no way verified the veracity of any of it

it is my hope that you never have to turn your minds toward these thoughts
other than in a desire to know ---
