Yah it may be that our *province* <grin> has a good thing going. There is some B.S. involved, but overall it's helped improve the air.

Of note: emissions testing is not province wide. AFAIK, it's limited to the lower mainland. (Vancouver et al)

I recall seeing in the movie "Who Killed The Electric Car?" mention of that tax break. Pretty sad in a way..... (and not to start a thread on that issue! <smile>

My Vanagon runs much cleaner now. Engine and it's management system aside, I think adding a cat *really* helped. (that year of gas engine Vanagon is not required to have a cat up here)
