Thanks for the heads up Miguel !!! Defiantly going to get one ! Best, JC... -----Original Message----- From: miguel pacheco [mailto:mundopacheco@gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2009 4:03 PM To: John C... Cc: vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com Subject: Re: Head gasket leaking. Bummer.

Here's a good heads up, (if you haven't heard.) If that Coolant Junction behind the firewall has failed, you don't have to replace it with the genuine, in-kind, POS VW part, which costs, I believe around 80.00. Rocky Mountain Westy rmwesty.com manufactures a Stainless Steel replacement that you will never have to replace. They make these for Syncros and 2wds and it only costs a little more than the VW one. If you see these for sale at GoWesty, they are the same ones. They get them from RMWesty. I just purchased one for my Syncro and it was a perfect fit. It feels sooooo good to have the weak spot resolved!! Thanks, Miguel
