Bentley thinks it does...

You do have to remove it for the slave cylinder, backing plate and such.

Try setting the end of your cheater bar on something that it will slide on, then very very carefully back down (left side) or go ahead (right side).

Repeat, very very carefully. Almost all tool injuries are caused by energy that has been stored up slowly being released suddenly. The stakes get bigger when you're storing it up with a car.
