How cbout that Eden Pure heater that the infomercial folks want you to have. Our local Ace Hardware store sells them for $400 a pop and they don't make a sound and the cabinet is fcool to the touch. It's about the size of a grocery store milk crate, so that could be a downer, but it is supposed to heat a 1000 square feet. Not sure how rugged it is. 1500 watts 5k btu You be the judge.
