That's what I did a couple of weeks ago. Shop owner said that he takes all of his vans to this particular shop because they do a great job and are affordable and fast.

Let's just say that the old saying is true - You get what you pay for. I paid $150 - Limo tinting on the rear hatch and back windows, and darks (legal, or course) on the front doors.

Worst tint job I've ever seen.

Bubbles, couple of creases, sloppy cuts around fixtures and bolts, the tinting isn't even sealed on some of the edges - and if that all wasn't bad ENOUGH, they actually sliced into the rubber on the slider with an X-acto when they were trimming the window on the slider - AND left all of their trimmings (tinting AND sliced rubber - great for evidence) in the van.

Cr@ppy job, damaged the window seals, and didn't even clean up after themselves!!!

Problem is that I didn't go direct, so I have to trust the shop owner to properly do the dirty work in order to not only re-do the job the RIGHT way, but also pay to have the damage repaired.

Follow-up conversation happens today.

If it ain't one thing, it's another. . .
