I might be stretching list etiquette, but my son came over with offer to help me pull engine on my westy if I helped him replace heater core in his 1986 Golf. We have made good progress, Haynes manual is worthless. We have dash where it will move up and down, but it still seems to be solid front to back. Do not understand purpose of holes that run across dash near glass. I would expect them to have screws, but nothing. If anyone can help me with the secret to the puzzle, my westy will then get some attention and be closer to being back on the road. Thanks all. If you think it would be easier to just tell me rather than writing, pmail me with a number and I will give you a call. Thanks again. Jim Henry Durham, NC 84 westy |
