An update and possible tip for newbs. Underside of passenger side Teves brake caliper (side I heard whistle coming from): http://tubaneil.googlepages.com/BrakeCaliper.jpg/BrakeCaliper-full;init:.jpg I suspect that aside from what *looks* like a fubar'd dust seal, the piston itself may not be fully returning or possibly seized. These may have been the cause of the "whistle" noise. Regardless, both calipers will be replaced. Tip: if possible, check the underside of calipers when doing a visual inspection. (would a dental type mirror suffice ??) Of course YMMV, and the usual disclaimers :) Neil. |
