Those exhaust brackets are for 2.1 waterboxer engines. won't normally fit on a 1.9 .......which is what an 84 has. I haven't seen it done, but I suppose someone could put a 2.1 'rear aluminum mount/exhaust bracket' on a 1.9 waterboxer engine. I haven't tired that yet. You could have a 2.1 wbxr entire exhaust system on a 1.9 ...........it'll fit just fine, if that's the case......these brackets could be right for you. a 2.1 uses 2 of those brackets of course. and the diameter of a 1.9 muffler is smaller than the diameter of a 2.1 muffler..... a factor that may matter.
