Jakes just makin' sure I do it right. :) Thanks though. I think I can. Especially if I can improve my technique welding on an incline. So far, the plan is to make a moon shaped piece to correct the hole, weld that to the plate, then weld that "new hole" to the subframe. Of course I'll measure the subframe thickness, but my MIG should penetrate enough with flux core wire. Worst comes to worst, I could tack it in place and drive it down to a welder I know, drop the radius arm and have him finish it up. I don't know if making the metal too thick will be a problem, but I'll know when the new bushings are in hand. Neil. |
