I think Van Café' has the OEM mud flaps available. These have the rubber grommets which stick through the body. They also have the metal strut which bolts to the wheel well rib. This is for the front.

Al, These flaps look great, but functionally are not very robust. As soon as your front wheels step over a log, rock or curb, the rigid type flaps are the first thing to bottom out on said obstacle and snap. (Personal experience) Stick with the flexible type which can withstand a bit more abuse and don't reduce your ground clearance. Kep '79 scirocco '86 country home '86 Syncro (Audi Power)

Any of yous guys have the same problem I've been having? I got a set of the moulded plastic mudflaps of south african origin. Mounted them up, then within a week or two, it's missing the lower 5 inches. Just snaps off and litters the roadway. In the hopes that "third time's a charm", I've given it one last whirl.

Here's the pics of them installed: http://picasaweb.google.com/vangina/MudflapRightFront#

FWIW, the rears have held up fine for years now.

Anyone else have this happen?
