I put one on my 84 about 6-7 years ago to protect the perfect dash which had always been stored in a garage til then.(the westy as well as the dash!) It has worked great, especially for attracting dog hair, has not faded as far as I can tell, but is cheesy looking to my less is more mind.

That said, I never remove it, except to dust the dash below, & I think it has done it's job.
