well, IF the motor is pumping ( and it's possible the washer motors runs fine, but the impeller is disconnencted from the motor shaft ) .......... but if it's acutally pumping...... the usual clog is at the nozzles. The best tool I've found to clean those out is torch cleaning tips.........that you'd buy at a welder supply place. A whole little kit of varous sizes of stiff wire, made just for cleaning out small orifices. Before I did it that way, I would unstrand a regular piece of electrical wire......to get a real small piece of wire that way.....but it's too flexible really. using a pin........I haven't had much luck with.

Iff you're washer motor has power to it, but is dead..........then that sounds like a dead washer motor of course. Assuming that both power and ground to the washer pump are good. wherever that wire grounds............if it didn't make contact , that would also keep the motor from running. Need to check the ground side as well as the power side of all circuits, especailly since our beloved vans are 20 + years old, and VW makes their ground connections kinda mickey mouse. scott www.turbovans.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rob" <becida@COMCAST.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2009 1:21 PM Subject: Windshield washer blockage
