I suppose one could make the installation of these far more permanent, but I've stuck to the provided hardware. For the rears, I haven't had any of the fender mounts come loose, but certainly have had to reposition and tighten the frame rail attachment a few times. I'm so retentive, I take them off once a year to inspect for rust and clean under them...
