One might wonder what harmful/deathly toxin(s) might be used in making the plethora of 'silicone' kitchen gadgets (made in China?) now on sale at the local Target, Mal Wart, Kmart. Have these really been tested long-term to prove their relative safety? Are they really needed? I mean, the 'old' way seemed to be fine for years and years--real glass, real stainless steel, real cotton pot holders. And what about the recent swarm of 'Klean Kanteen' stainless products (China)? I have the latter, have noticed a distinct taste that may or may not exist in other SS water containers. The former really has no place in my kitchen...my Westy kitchen. Mr. Curious, Karl |
