"perhaps try an infra red temp gun on your oil pan......see what numbers you get that way.......to compare to your gauge oil temp readings." I IR my oil filter .... much more accurate. The pan gets cooled by outside factors and is much thicker than the wall of the filter. In my case, my aftermarket dash oil temp gauge (VDO) and the IR read almost identically. bob |
