Joel, You're telling my story. I chased a front end vibration for a few years. Tightening bearings helped, but not much. Rotating tires did nothing. Replacing front end componenets didn't help much. Turned out to be a bent/out of balance wheel! I put the wheels from my '88 7 pass GL onto my vibrating '85 2wd Westy, and the vibration went away. Drove 5000 miles around western US in October with no vibrations - Great!
