Confession is soothing to the soul! Still looking for my scan archive! But it must be admitted that at the time of the WBX introduction, several of the better automotive reporters actually interviewed the head of the engineering team. Those, off the record, remarks can offer an additional seed to the imagination regarding motive.

I too was unable to get babelfish to translate these scans. I wouldn't normally even mention this, but the risk of being castigated for being an opinionated speculator, not wanting the facts and just blowing past Frank's post, was too great a risk!
