My van is an '84 gasoline pop top. I don't have a manual yet. Any
links on setting the timing? I did try to search the archives I'm not
sure if it was my computer or not but I had the hour glass forever and
then I gave up. Russ lives somewhere in California per:

Actually I haven't been driving it. I have a list of things I am trying to fix first. I am also planning a trip up to Organ from CA this May and am trying to save it for then. Supposedly it's 257K miles are original. It's going to be a little nerve racking! And a dozen or so further posts yields that Russ is in the north central California area when he posts:Date: Wed, 2 Apr 2008 15:02:17 -0700

1. I was hoping to get some "free" advice for a newbie as to what parts
are "hard to find" and may be worth scavenging.
2. I am very broke right now
3. I don't have anything for sale so why would I give my location?
4. Thanks to the ones who stuck up for me. I didn't realize how much
drama would ensue.
5. I haven't seen any other Westfalias in my area so I was a little
excited when I saw one Bus at the pick n Pull that was my same year.
6. The Pick n Pull is located in Fairfield California.
Are we ready to graduate from Junior High now? Jesus
Where he seems to be having difficulty understanding why ANYONE would want to know where he is located. So in summation:Slloth (Russ) lives in north central California and drives an '84 gas powered Westy. (And a '73 short wheelbase Land Cruiser.)Jim
