Thanks all for the advice. I think I will look for some fiberglass and
epoxy and try that.

Neil: The ear holes appear to be ovaled from factory. I am guessing its
to give some adjustment room.

New motor checks good at all 3 speeds using battery charger. No new
ceramic thingy needed (whewww)
