Subject: NVC-73 Beetle Advice
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Since I just picked up the Beetle and am new to air-cooled(Samba...I know)[BTW-Samba is not too friendly regarding finding local stuff, IMO] anyway...would like to know who has experience with this vehicle that I can pmail occasionally for stupid questions. Needs a new pan on DS and some suspension work along with help re-wiring gauges. Could also use ASAP a set of tires. Tried Discount Tire and Arizonians are $65. Also am looking for cheap sets on CL, but bolt pattern is 4 x 130, I believe and not sure what else will fit. My kid will be driving as soon as it is safe until I ultimately get it back from him and keep the restoration going. Will be scrubbing all interior and POR15 as needed in the meantime. Thanks.

P.S. Waited till Fryday so please reply off-list if not helpful to others.
