Last Saturday I asked if I had a defective gas tank: http://jones.colorado.edu/jones/VW/BadTank.jpg

Within a couple of hours, I had 5-6+ replies, including three with pictures--one of the exact same pickup tube in the same brand aftermarket tank. That's the list!

I emailed the picture to the BusDepot and by Monday afternoon they were trying to get it straight. But they looked in several of their tanks--both diameter fillers-- and saw that they ALL were that way. Apparently, the assembly line (in Taiwan?) got off-kilter and made a bunch of bad tanks.

Then the BusDepot called back and said they pulled all of them out of the attic and found one (at least) that was not defective, that it was packed up and ready to ship. It came today: http://jones.colorado.edu/jones/VW/GoodTank.jpg

Thanks to all who answered me--and thanks to the BusDepot for excellent service!

Richard
