You've all scared me, so I'm going to look at putting either a fuse or the 15A breaker back in there, just not in such an ugly configuration. I use the shore power at home to charge the batteries, pre-cool the fridge and let me run the shop vac around the passenger area. I'm not about to set fire to the van, but I'll fix it for peace of mind - mine and yours :o)
