Before figuring out how to adapt a Hastings aftermarket gauge to my engine conversion, my IR gun really helped to determine if the coolant temps on my conversion were ok. Given the situation, it was worth the investment. But..... When stuck in the middle of BFE w/o the IR, the crayon sure would be handy and a good tip for me to remember...... although I won't be drawing on my coolant hoses. <grin> Do they sell crayons in BFE? ;) -- Neil Nicholson '81 VanaJetta 2.0 "Jaco" http://tubaneil.googlepages.com/ http://groups.google.com/group/vanagons-with-vw-inline-4-cylinder-gas-engines |
